I do phone English with teacher May,
and her pronunciation is good and she's kind. She has a lovely voice too.
Are the other teachers like that as well?
I used to do phone English with a Filipino teacher on another site before, but the pronunciation was a bit iffy.
CherryEnglish is affordable and the teacher is great, so I'm doing phone English very happily.
I've been doing it for about two months,
and little by little my English does seem to be improving.
I'm using Speak Your Mind Book 1, a discussion textbook made up of easy everyday topics.
Some days we greet each other, the conversation gets long, and we ignore the textbook and just do totally free talking. That makes it even more fun.
It feels like chatting with a friend.
A few things I'd wish for:
When I say something the wrong way, the teacher corrects me, and it would be even better if she typed it out.
Sometimes she types out words I can't catch or don't know. It would help even more if she typed out full sentences.
Other than that, I love the teacher's lessons.
One more thing I find a little lacking about CherryEnglish
is that I wish there were something like a My Page for systematic management.
How many times I missed, and so on…
When I did phone English at another site before, there was something like a monthly evaluation at the end of each month,
where, like a level-test result sheet, they'd comment on which parts had improved and which parts still needed work.
It would be really nice if CherryEnglish had that too.
Though that might make the teachers even busier…
Anyway, I plan to keep taking CherryEnglish lessons.
