My review~

I've only been taking lessons for a few weeks, but I've done phone English before and also did a short study-abroad program.
And CherryEnglish really does offer great quality for the price. The teacher may have a bit less phone English experience than other companies, but her pronunciation is actually better than teachers in their 30s, and she's very considerate. (For reference, my teacher is 22.)
So little by little I'm finding my voice again, my ears are opening up a bit more, and I'm gradually regaining the confidence I had before.
I think teachers in their early-to-mid 20s generally tend to have good pronunciation. I think the old Filipino education authorities' policies had a big influence~ At one point the government even had a policy telling people never to use English.
Anyway, phone English has helped, and I'll keep doing it. If you steadily do 30 minutes at an affordable price, in 2–3 years, or 5, you'll become an English speaker as good as a native. For reference, a younger friend I know did phone English steadily for 7 years, and out of a 45-person overseas volunteer group he ended up speaking English the best — better than people who'd done 1–2 years of study abroad. Fighting, everyone~!!
