Over the vacation I'd taken on so many things, wanting to build up my English and various credentials,
but going to an English academy would leave me nowhere near enough time...
I was thinking how nice it would be to do conversation at a time I want, with no commuting back and forth,
and that's when I found out about phone English!
I looked at all sorts of sites, and the 15-minute and 20-minute ones were so expensive ㅜㅜㅜ
But CherryEnglish had an event for 30 minutes at a much lower price than other sites, so I started!
The low price is great, but I worried about the pronunciation...
The idea that Filipino English is different made the decision hard, but it was all needless worry! lol
It was the same pronunciation I used to hear in the middle and high school English listening tests!
So I started in early July and I've been taking my lessons happily ever since!!
The teacher is super kind, and even when I go really slowly, one word at a time, she waits for me the whole way~
and when I don't know something she writes it down for me (I did it on Skype ^^)!
We've literally never even seen each other's faces, yet I've grown attached lol and it's really great for cultural exchange too!
She's very interested in Korea~ and I've gotten to learn about the Philippines ^^
This turned into a long post, but there's a reason it got long, so give it a try!
