About CherryEnglish
CherryEnglish (체리영어) is a Korean online English tutoring platform operating since 2011. Over the years we've connected thousands of Korean learners with patient, qualified English tutors. We use our own browser-based video platform with built-in AI lesson analysis — so tutors can focus on teaching while paperwork is automated.
What you'll do
- ●Teach 1-on-1 video English lessons (15 / 25 / 50 minute formats)
- ●Help Korean students with conversation, pronunciation, grammar, business English, or test prep (TOEIC, IELTS, TOEFL)
- ●Use the CherryEnglish in-house video platform — no Zoom, no apps to install
- ●Provide post-class feedback (mostly automated through AI lesson reports)
Who we're looking for
- ✅Native or near-native English speaker (Philippines, USA, UK, Canada, Australia)
- ✅Bachelor's degree preferred (any field). Teaching certification a plus
- ✅Stable wired/Wi-Fi internet, working webcam and headset
- ✅Patient, encouraging, and reliable
- ✅Previous online ESL or tutoring experience preferred but not required

Quick FAQ
Q. Do I need to speak Korean?
A. No. Lessons are conducted entirely in English. Knowing a few Korean words is a plus but not required.
Q. What equipment do I need?
A. A computer with webcam, headset with microphone, and stable internet. No software install — everything runs in the browser.
Q. How are tutors paid?
A. Monthly payout based on completed lessons. Rate is set per tutor at hire and reviewed periodically.
Q. Can I work part-time / a few hours per week?
A. Yes. Many of our tutors teach 5-15 hours per week as a side gig. Some teach 30+ as full-time work.
